A Quick Blog About Football Sunday

Two words. Football. Sunday. It’s enough to get even the most casual of fans excited about a sport that is completely barbaric and asinine to watch. But we love it! Yes, it can be a moral conundrum, but it’s our national addiction.

As I sit in front of the TV, on my couch, lathered in cheese dip and blue cheese, watching football, I wonder if the Red Zone channel is the greatest invention for a sports fan. It has to be, right? Completely commercial free. An infomercial for the NFL. And we just eat it up, every damn week.

Watching the Red Zone is an exponentially better experience than going to the stadium (and cheaper at that). Why go to the stadium, spend hundreds of dollars on tickets, sitting next to some dumb ass that is too drunk to stand on his own (it’s always a guy that is overweight and looks like he has bathed in about a week) and wanting to start a fight with everyone? No thanks.

Football Sunday is this country’s national past time. Red Zone has solidified football as the national past time. There is no question about it in my mind. A close second is fantasy football. Think about this combo…..Red Zone and Fantasy Football. It’s makes football Sunday that much more popular. Then there is the gambling aspect.
