Kevin Mooney

A SUNY degree holder three times over - SUNY Oswego (BA-Broadcasting) and SUNY Empire State College (BS-Accounting, MBA). There will not be any more, that’s for sure. Avid fan of the Oswego Lakers, Mets, Rangers, Giants, and Knicks. Can’t really blame Chris for being a Bulls fan.

Kevin got his start in broadcasting back in 2000 as a board op/feature producer for MLB Radio when it launched on Sirius Satellite Radio. He then went on to legendary sports talker WFAN-AM in New York City, where he started as a board op and then produced several talk shows, including Ann Liguori, Steve Somers, and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.

Kevin then moved upstate, with stops at radio stations in Syracuse, Cortland, Ithaca and Elmira, serving in roles ranging from reporter to producer to talk show host, and capped off his full-time media career as a web producer for NewsChannel 9 WSYR-TV in Syracuse.

Kevin has also served as a play-by-play announcer for several Cornell University teams, including women’s ice hockey, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and sprint football.

A Staten Island native, Kevin lives in Cortland with his wife, Allyson, and their four cats. (They’re all from the same litter, so it’s okay to have that many, right?)
